How To Jailbreak & Activate Your Apple iPhone 1.1.4
Before I had the chance to upgrade the firmware of my iPhone to 1.1.3, 1.1.4 is already here *SIGH*
Today, I had the chance to read the comprehensive instructions from iClarified where they have detailed graphical instructions on how to jailbreak and activate your iPhone from 1.1.2, 1.1.3, or 1.1.4 by using ZiPhone.
From what I could see, it is a pretty simple procedure. My concern is that my OTB was 1.1.0, if I remember correctly, since it was bought on the early days when the iPhone was first released. I then upgraded it to 1.1.1 and have been using 1.1.1 since then mainly because I do not have the time to mess around with it should I brick it. I am of the philosophy that “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.”
From what I read, 1.1.4 doesn’t offer anything new that you are not already getting from 1.1.3 but it is said that 1.1.4 fixes a few bugs. I guess it’s sort of the like security patches that we are required to download and install for the operation system of our computer.
I am not sure if I could skip my upgrading process and jump straightaway from 1.1.1 to 1.1.4 and then jailbreak and activate it. If there’s someone to do the work for me of upgrading to 1.1.4, I’d gladly hand my iPhone to him LOL
